Engaging Kids offers speech-language evaluation and therapy in-home for children birth to 14 years of age within the Twin Cities area. We also provide therapeutic services to daycare centers and private schools, including preschool, elementary and middle schools. (The private school or daycare must grant permission before services can be provided on-site).
Engaging Kids Speech-Language Therapy Services provides a unique therapeutic approach by using the DIR®/Floortime Model as a guide to intervention. After careful evaluation and observation, a treatment plan is created that is tailored to meet the individual needs, interests, passions, and abilities of each child with the goal to develop and enhance the child's communication skills through fun and meaningful experiences. Therapy sessions focus on the foundations of communication such as emotional regulation, shared attention, social initiation, gestural communication, reciprocal interaction, problem-solving, creating ideas, and bridging complex emotional ideas into logical and flexible patterns of thinking. The goal of Engaging Kids is to help foster the development of meaningful communication skills within the daily life settings a child experiences, including home, school, and/or daycare.
